A pioneer in Brazil in utilizing regenerative cotton, Vicunha proudly stands as the first company to incorporate locally sourced and traceable cotton from regenerative farms into its denim fabrics manufactured in the country. These fabrics are crafted using the most environmentally conscious methods in our plants in Northeastern region.
Vicunha’s commitment to the "Regen by Vicunha" project is an important step towards a more sustainable future. Our aim is to increasingly and consistently integrate regenerative cotton into our Denim & Denim Colour portfolio, thus fostering sustainability on a broader scale.
The initiative relies on multiple actions to regenerate entire ecosystems, safeguard the health of the land and support local communities.
Vicunha is the first Brazilian denim manufacturer to lean on regenerative cotton strategy as a comprehensive approach to promote sustainability across the entire production chain.
In addition to fostering a regenerative mindset in the domestic denim market, this movement also supports holistic farming practices that enhance soil organic matter, promote biodiversity, capture CO2, and improve water and energy management.
